How do you say the word Pay in SPanish?

Question by Kenneth: How do you say the word Pay in SPanish?
I'm doing a spanish language Course and I found a word that I'm not sure how its prounced.

The word Pay in spanish to me sounds either like Pagarre or tagerre.

For 10 points I would like to see how the word is spelled and how to pronounce it.
I'm using Pimsleur language courses and do not have the benefit of an Interactive Native Teacher.
