How can i be an exchange student without it being connected to my school?

Question by alexa h: How can i be an exchange student without it being connected to my school?
i'm basically looking for an exchange student program to either england, australia, or germany. and i my school doesn't host a program, so what can i do? i also want one where i don't have to compete with other students to get in. thanks! (oh and an affordable price if possible)
