Are college journalism majors required to take a language course such as Spanish/French?

Question by Whiitake: Are college journalism majors required to take a language course such as Spanish/French?
Im hoping to go to Colombia University, NYU, or Brown.
My dream job is in televison and media and i really dont wana have to take anotehr year of spanish or more in collge. Please help!
